Ladybird Driving School is proud to be Ireland’s only All Female Instructor Driving School. We have been teaching Drivers successfully for over 25 years in all types of Manual and Automatic vehicles.

Ladybird Driving School Terms and Conditions

1. General Conditions

Your instructor is bound by a professional code of conduct. Your instructor will be courteous, polite, tidy and punctual. She will also behave in a professional and ethical manner at all times.

Your instructor’s vehicle will be well maintained, clean and tidy. All vehicles used by the instructors are fitted with dual-controls as part of their standard equipment. The vehicle of course is fully insured for driving lessons Dublin.

Your instructor will not smoke in the vehicle while giving tuition, nor will they use your lesson time for any other form of business, personal or otherwise.

At Ladybird Driving School we do lessons from 2 up to 4 hours in order to ensure that our pupils get the maximum benefit from our expert instructors.

2. Qualifications

Your Instructor is ADI qualified and fully licensed by the Road Safety Authority (RSA) to give driving tuition.

3. Driving Licence

The learner must hold a current, valid driving license (full or learner permit), which must be produced on or in advance of their first lesson.

If the lesson is an ‘off road and theory lesson’ it is not necessary to produce a license but any driving must be conducted within the confines of our off road facility.

4. Payments

Payment must be made at the time of booking in order to secure the instructor and vehicle for the duration of the agreed lesson. Please note that all payments are non-refundable.

At this point a binding agreement is made between you and Ladybird independent instructor. This does not in any way affect your statutory rights to be provided with the goods and services you have bought.

All moneys and lessons and/or refunds paid to the self employed Ladybird instructor is a contract between the pupil and the individual instructor not Ladybird Driving School who only act as an intermediary between pupil and instructor.

Any refunds arising that are due back to a pupil for whatever reason is the responsibility of the self employed Ladybird instructor and the Pupil seeking the refund.

As Ladybird driving school does not handle any pupils money the dispute should be settled directly between the instructor and pupil and/or the Road Safety Authority.

From time to time Ladybird Driving School will edit and amend its pricing structure to reflect market trends and movements.

Each instructor may at their own discretion and with the pupils consent, discuss pricing related to that particular pupil taking into account distance, pick up, drop off etc.

5. Lesson Postponement

Provided notice is given to the school or to your instructor no later than 48 hours in advance of the lesson, no penalty will apply.

Your instructor reserves the right to postpone lessons if she feels the weather or road conditions are unsuitable or dangerous.

The instructor cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred as a result of her having to postpone any lessons, for whatever reason.

6. The Driving Test

a) Bookings

Driving tests can be booked by you or by the school. The driving test bookings always take priority over other lessons. Therefore, your lesson may be postponed to allow for someone else’s driving test and vice-versa. Changes to lesson bookings as a result of this will be notified immediately. Test appointments must be notified to your instructor as soon as they are known; otherwise she cannot guarantee to provide a vehicle for your test.

b) Use of the Vehicle

In the interest of customer and public safety your instructor reserves the right to withhold the use of a vehicle for the test if, in their opinion, your driving is actually or potentially dangerous.

c) Test Cancellation

Ten clear days’ notice of cancellation or postponement is required by the RSA. Failure to provide the required notice will result in the loss of your test fee. Ladybird Driving School cannot be held responsible for any postponement or cancellation by the RSA. However, we will do all that is possible to arrange another test date as quickly as possible.

Tyre Damage and Curbing

If at any time there has been damaged caused or curbing the alloys or tyres damaged due to careless driving on a lesson or on a driving test then Ladybird Driving School reserve the right to seek the appropriate fees to fix the alloys or tyre damage caused by your actions.

7. GDPR

8. Punctuality

In their own interests learners are advised to be punctual for their lesson appointments. All such appointments should be recorded (and checked where possible by their instructor) to ensure that mistakes are avoided.

The instructor would normally wait a maximum of 45 minutes before the lesson would be abandoned and the lesson fee forfeited. A reciprocal waiting time may become necessary if the instructor is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Any lesson time lost as a result of this would be made up by the instructor either at the end of the normal lesson time if possible or at a later date.

9. Learner Comfort and Safety

In the interest of comfort and safety learners are advised to wear suitable footwear and clothing which does not restrict movement.

Learners must also take note of any medication they are taking that may affect their ability to drive safely and advise their instructor accordingly before taking any lesson booked.

10. Driving Lesson Cancellation Policy at Ladybird Driving School

You must give your driving instructor at least 48 hours notice (the Minimum Notice) if You wish to cancel or rearrange a driving lesson, otherwise you will be liable to pay for 100% of the driving lesson fee.

Where you have pre-paid for any driving lesson but fail to attend or provide the minimum notice to cancel or rearrange the driving lesson, it will be counted as a driving lesson taken for the purposes of the driving lesson cancellation policy and you will be liable for the driving lesson fee.

Payment in advance for driving lessons doesn’t give a person the right to feel they can cancel when ever they like. We need to get through a backlog and no shows or late cancellations will not improve the situation.

There are thousands of people who would take your space and avail of this valuable time slot but we can not fill the space at the last minute.

Who we share your data with

If you complete any forms on our website with your contact details you are giving the right for any of our driving schools to make contact with you for your driving lesson bookings. This can include National Driving School, Get In Gear Driving and Ladybird Driving School.

Our Ladybird driving instructors may be fully booked in your area and we so we will try get you booked in with one of our sister driving schools.
